Part one in a series of "guides" to popular internet art styles

Ahaha no one warned me the previous text was so unsparkle. I'm glad i caught that.
Hopefully this covers it all?I dont know, feel free to make suggestions, I'll probably end up adding some more.

EDIT:
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A PARODY

I am not going out of my way to combine all the cliche's of sparkledog themed art into one dog.
that would give a skewed representation of the genre and that's not what I'm going for at all

and I drew it in my style because I'm not very good with the bezier or oekaki, but I made notes about that stuff in the "not shown" section.

Ha ha now I see what you mean by the term has become so general. I look at this and almost go "Well that is like trying to pin down what is a dragon and what isn't (they have to have wings and little spades on the end of their tail and scales, etc)"

Regardless, I like the drawings!

damn, i think you make sparkledogs look good with your style. I: you covered what i thought of most sparkledogs too. i think you forgot 'usually skinny' though, because i have never, ever seen a fat or somewhat meaty sparkledog.

dinosaurs.
o yeah, I'll put that in.
I dont think i've seen a fat canine character ever though, o well...
I think you forgot the fact that.. they usually have clashing, too-bright colors
and rainbows
you forgot rainbows

but yeah, the one here, the colors go together so pretty, I actually quite like it xD

I had a similar thought while making this actually, like they aren't real so what's the use of trying to make a guide? but then, there are plenty of dragon guides in bookstores so I felt like, eh what the heck.
is it bad that i actually liked how this came out? xD well yes the dogs colors do blind me a bit but WELL your anatomy and attention to details does make me smile quite often. C:

i'm probably guilty of a few things considered "sparkle-worthy" lol

"After the rain and storm, there will always be a beautiful rainbow"
ahaha this is so accurate.

A major thing you should of added for a description was that sparkledogs are specifically breedless. They're all like cookie cut-outs. None of them have a distinctive breed whatsoever because you can never tell what the hell they are, the creator labels them as something ridiculous like dacshund/husky/jack russel terrier/kitsune and it just

looks like a fucked up dog that should be taken to the vet before it falls over and dies from a serious condition.

Also the toe thing is kinda false..if you look at a canine's paw, their front toe claws do come in together.

I dont know about that, i've seen quite a few that were done really well, vanilla kitsune's old character designs come to mind even though she was trying to separate herself from sparkledogs for a while.
